Level 3 First Aid at Work (Part-Time)

The Health, Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out risk assessments, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training. This course equips the candidate with the skills, knowledge and positive attitude to manage an emergency situation. This course is approved by the Health, Safety Executive (HSE) to their high standards. This course covers the following topics: – Introduction to first aid at work – Basic anatomy – The respiratory system – Dressings, bandages and good hygiene – The circulatory system – The first aider, legislation – The nervous system – Fractures – Burns, scalds – The eye – Poisons – Transportation of casualties – Also includes AED training with certificate valid for 12 months
